Women’s Domestic Violence Helpline

A statewide 24-hour service providing support and counselling for women experiencing family and domestic violence.

Services include phone counselling, information and advice, referral to local advocacy and support services, liaison with police if necessary and support in escaping situations of family and domestic violence. The service can refer women to safe accommodation if required. Interpreting services available.

Breastscreen WA

A program providing free screening mammograms (checks for breast cancer) to asymptomatic women, specifically women aged 50 to 74 years as the scientific evidence of benefit from screening mammography is greatest for women in this age group. However, all women 40 years or over are eligible to attend.
