Antoinette Kennedy
Her Honour, Retired Chief Judge Antoinette Kennedy, a pioneer in Western Australia's legal landscape, began her journey as the only woman in her law school class to gain articles of clerkship. In 1985, she became the first woman Judge in Western Australia and later Chief Judge of the District Court of WA in 2004.
Her dedication to women's rights and migrant/refugee advocacy is apparent through her involvement in the Women Lawyers of WA and participation in the Chief Justice’s Gender Bias Taskforce. In 2010, Antoinette retired as Chief Judge, earning recognition as an Officer of the Order of Australia (A.O.) and being elected to the Western Australian “Women’s Hall of Fame.”
Antoinette's patronage of Ishar amplifies her commitment to social justice, women's empowerment, and the well-being of migrants and refugees. Her legacy as a trailblazer is reflected in her support of Ishar’s mission.

Rabia Siddique
Ishar’s first ambassador, Rabbia Siddique Having survived a hostage crisis in Iraq, Rabia garnered global attention for making the British military accountable for silencing her about her ordeal and role in releasing captured special forces soldiers.
Standing up for justice in the face of public ridicule, Rabia’s brave action in suing the British Government for sexism and racism became a catalyst for policy change. Drawing on her extensive experience as a former criminal, war crimes, terrorism and human rights lawyer, military career, psychology training and business, Rabia is also a sought-after transformational coach and mentor.

Hon. Ayor Makur Chuot
Hon. Ayor Makur Chuot MLC is a Member of the Legislative Council of the 41st Parliament of Western Australia for the North Metropolitan Region.
She is Western Australia’s first MP of African descent and the first person from a South Sudanese background to occupy a seat in any Parliament in Australia.
Her key priorities include multiculturalism, women, families, and employment, and inspiring young people of colour to get involved in the community.
