Client Services Officer (part-time)

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, passionate Client Services Officer with relevant experience to join our team. This role provides essential administrative support for day-to-day operations, as first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders who engage with Ishar in person or electronically. Responsible for providing receptionist duties, office management, data management, providing general service information, and coordinating interpreter bookings.

This is a part-time role (20 hours per week). Fixed contract until 30th June 2025.


Selection Criteria
Essential (please address these in your application)

  1. Qualification in community services or similar qualification with experience in administration and reception and/or experience in a similar/community focused organisation.

  2. Empathetic understanding of matters pertaining to working with women from multicultural backgrounds, including recently arrived humanitarian refugees and other migrants.

  3. Strong keyboard and computer skills with a demonstrated competency in databases (preferably CRS and BP), systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

  4. Well organised with an ability to meet deadlines through effective planning and time management. • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, sensitivity and confidentiality at all times.

  5. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills in cross-cultural environments with a professional approach.

  6. Demonstrated organisational and time management skills, with excellent attention to detail and initiative, able to work under pressure. Page 3 of 4

  7. Demonstrated computer literacy skills, including competency in the use of MS Office, with the aptitude to learn new software and systems.

  8. Genuine passion for women’s health and wellbeing, and alignment with organisational values.

  9. Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team environment.

  10. Current WA police clearance dated within the last 12 months.

  11. Current driver’s license, willing and able to use own roadworthy and insured vehicle for work purposes.

  12. Current Working with Children Check

    1. Experience working and understanding of the not-for-profit community sector.

    2. Experience working with refugee and migrant populations in a community-based organisation.

    3. Fluency in a second language, other than English.

    4. Experience working with interpreters.

    1. Full unrestricted working rights in Australia.

    2. Current WA police clearance dated within the last 12 months.

    3. A current "C" Class Driver's Licence and own road-worthy, insured vehicle.
